AFRICAN HERITAGE PUBLISHERS L.L.C.

African Heritage Publishers LLC is registered in the State of Maryland, USA and maintains its head office in Silver Spring, MD. African Heritage Publishers LLC was founded in 2009 for the purpose of publishing books written on African affairs.

Our main objectives are:
To articulate Africa’s position and views as may be known by Africans themselves through publishing books.
To expound and expose the true picture of Africa as seen and known by the people who are affected by the prevailing political, social, economic and cultural conditions.
To encourage indigenous and progressive writers to disseminate their knowledge and experiences through writing for future generations.

Many African writers often encounter difficulties when they try to publish their work with the traditional western publishing companies. They are either ignored or may be forced to alter their findings in order to fit pre-established images and perceptions of Africa in order to fit in the acceptable caricature. By so doing, true and accurate revelations are distorted. As a result, knowledge of the real problems and forces behind them are never known by the general public.

It is imperative that we take full charge of expressing the views of Africans through literary forms but not to continue being credulous to false views and analysis of people whose predatory intentions have contributed to the current situation. Africans, in particular, need to present the true picture of Africa on various issues and problems that confront the continent. When looking for a publisher, authentic and progressive writers can contact us.
